History
In the 1960s, the plot on which the complex 't Kerckeland stands was purchased from the Hervormde Kerk (Protestant church) in De Koog.
The area owes its current name to this fact. In the early 1970s, part of the remaining uncultivated land and grassland was afforested for the construction of the recreation area 't Kerckeland.
This was a mixture of deciduous trees and especially many flowering and berry bushes, such as dog rose, elderberry, rowan and blackberry.
This planting is still present and is located around what we now know as the apartment complex 't Kerckeland.
Location of our apartment complex is very quiet and about 1.5 km away from the bustling heart of seaside resort De Koog.
The flats, which are situated on the ground floor or first floor, are a good base because of the central location near forest and sea.
The flats on the east and north side of the complex have the sun on their balconies in the morning and are situated on the side of the parking facilities.
The other flats, on the west and south side, have a view of the inner garden.
